Woodland Public Library

745.5 Square One
This brand-new, 2,000 square foot state-of-the-art makerspace includes areas for prototyping, art and textiles, electronics, digital media, a separately enclosed wood shop, and a librarian’s desk.
Part of the Woodland Public Library, we worked with the staff on architectural programming, planning, and design of the overall experience to transform the unfinished space. This included designing a unique logo and graphics for the space, as well as creating a strong brand identity to help differentiate it from the main Library. The name “745.5 Square One” is a reference to the Dewey Decimal number for handicrafts.
