TEEN HQ

Gyroscope worked with the San Jose Public Library to enable a committee of teens to plan, design, and build the Library's new maker space and teen center. They brainstormed, sketched, marked-up floor plans and taped-out zones, debated, built cardboard models and slid around furniture. The result was a Gamer Lounge, Hangout Zone, Recording Studio, Maker Space, and Erik’s Desk.

 

The process deepened and amplified the relationship between the community and their library.
