EVERYONE IS A MAKER

San Mateo County Libraries (SMCL) engaged Gyroscope Inc. to develop a Master Plan for makerspaces for the library system.  This plan aligns with the Libraries’ Strategic Plan, which includes goals to create spaces that support discovery, enrich lives, and uplift the community.  This plan also supports San Mateo County Libraries’ vision to “ignite growth through transformative experiences”. The purpose of the Master Plan is to provide a framework for future decision-making for all library facilities and programs around making. The Library turned to Gyroscope, Inc. to plan, design, and create this exciting new program because of our strong record of excellence in designing educational experiences for diverse audiences in libraries, community settings, and other informal learning environments.
