LABORATORIO DE IDEAS
In 2014 Gyroscope was selected to develop and design 15,000 SF on the upper floor of Papalote Museo del Niño, Mexico City, as part of their major new renovation project.
‘Laboratorio de Ideas’ opened in 2016, and is a highly interactive and flexible Maker Space that encourages creative problem solving in a social setting. It consists of a paper making zone, a digital fabrication area, an art studio, a traditional workshop, robotics challenges, an edible experiments kitchen, a multimedia zone, and a group build space. Each area is inspired by the history and culture of Mexico while celebrating Mexico City's vibrant maker culture. This gallery is designed for artists-in-residence and a high rate of change.
