EXPLORING GARDEN

A garden at a library?  Actually, it’s a natural fit:  today’s libraries are moving beyond books and periodicals to offer a wide range of services to their communities.  The Exploring Garden at King County Library in Woodinville is part of that trend:  an outdoor space that encourages informal exploration, a gathering place for library programs, a quiet spot for seniors, a multisensory environment for children to explore.  Gyroscope’s design engages visitors through movement, performance, and interaction, with the ultimate goal of stimulating interest in reading and literature.
