SKYLINE

Skyline is an award-winning exhibit where children and caregivers collaborate to build their own one-of-a-kind structures using wooden struts, hardware, and real tools. Funded by NSF, the exhibit broke new ground in exploring ways to encourage adult participation in children’s playful learning.  A time-lapse camera records each visitors’ construction activity as a tool for documentation and learning strategies. Skyline won the 2010 AAM Award for Excellence in Exhibit Design, with Special Achievement in Family Learning.
