WELLBODY ACADEMY

Gyroscope, Inc. was hired to design a new permanent exhibition for the Pacific Science Center. Professor Wellbody’s Academy of Health and Wellness is an innovative and immersive environment that reflects the Pacific Northwest Coast in style and materials, incorporating original artifacts, teaching collections, large and small-scale manual and electronic interactives, low-tech participatory components as well as multimedia installations.

 

The 7,000 SF themed environment is subdivided into 7 separate sub zones: Nutrition, Sleep, Fitness, Hygiene, Aging, Current Research and the Studio. Each sub area supports individual and group activities, social interaction and areas for rest and reflection.
